Terms of use

The service

IELTS Practice provides practice tests in the IELTS format, with marking and feedback. It is an independent practice service. It is not the IELTS test, and it is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by the University of Cambridge, the British Council or IDP Education.

Your marks are estimates

Bands shown here, including AI marks for Writing and Speaking, are estimates to guide your practice. They are not official IELTS results, and we can't promise you'll get the same band in the real test.

Your account

  • Give accurate details, and use the account yourself - one person per account.
  • Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.

Fair use

Please don't:

  • copy, publish or share our tests, answers or explanations;
  • use automated tools to access or download the service;
  • try to break, overload or get around the security of the service; or
  • submit anything unlawful, or anything that isn't your own work, as an answer.

Content

Our tests, explanations and model answers belong to us. Your answers and recordings remain yours; you let us store and process them - including sending them for AI marking, as described in our privacy notice - to provide the service to you and, if you study in a batch, to your teacher.

Prices

During early access every feature is free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you before anything is charged, and you will only pay for a plan you choose.

Ending your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Liability

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but provide it as it is, without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions you make based on a practice band.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and, for significant changes, tell you by email.
